Maddie Wilmink is an emerging fine artist in the Chicago area who focuses on the reintegration of nature into daily life. Her work is sex positive, sustainable, and educational. As a biology enthusiast, she often uses insect specimens and macro ecology to express her political and social views with the goal of impacting positive change.

Recipient of SAIC Presidential merit-based scholarship

The School of the Art Institute of Chicago awards merit scholarships to students who demonstrate exceptional levels of thoughtfulness, skill, and conceptual capabilities, based on portfolio, academic achievement and statement of intent. The Presidential Scholarship is the largest award offered through the school.
